Sample Sales This Week

(Image via SampleSally.com)

When you're as constantly in need of a shopping score as I am, you get to be quite the stalker of sample sale schedules. Sample sales, the Olympics of shopping. The thrill of the hunt, the adrenaline of pushing people out of your path, the madness of it all. So. Worth. It.

Here are some good ones this week in New York:

Manolo Blahnik started Tuesday and goes until Thursday, 10:30am to 6pm. According to my bible Racked NY , prices go like this: "The lowest you'll pay is $195 (blue dot), with prices ranging up through $295 (orange dot), $395 (green dot), and $495 (red dot)." I want to go to there. - 31 West 54th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues

Not so much a sample sale, but an exciting annual sale nonetheless and for a good cause to boot: the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Thrift Shop starts Wednesday, August 8th and runs until Sunday, August 12th. Score Bottega Veneta, Gucci and more (people know how to donate at this place) for lower - not crazy lower - prices and the proceeds go to the center. - 1440 Third Avenue between 81st and 82nd Streets
